Jack: So, to what do I owe the pleasure of this business, are you showing off you new mustache?
Eugene: Huh?
Jack: Uh, That is a mustache, isn't it?
...Is there something else, Eugene? I can’t help but think that you have more on your mind
Eugene: You are a perceptive man, Mr. Allen.
Jack: Well, I’ve been described as having keen insight into the obvious. *Chuckles to himself.* What’s going on Eugene?

Eugene: I’m not inclined to exaggeration...
Jack: Mmhhmm. You feel weak and unable to help stop what’s happening here.
Eugene: Yes.
Jack: But Eugene, that’s because you are weak and unable to stop what it happening here.
Eugene: Am I supposed to be encouraged by that observation?

Eugene: Philosophically speaking, I’m not entirely certain that I-
Jack: -Oh forget your ‘philosophically speaking,’ Eugene. Be honest with yourself. My guess is, if you could look through everything that’s happened to you since you arrived at Whit’s end, you’d see all the things that have driven you, and are driving you, even now, to a decision.
Eugene: Mr. Allen… I, I uh, I don’t know what to say.
Jack: Say yes, Eugene, just say yes.
