There are no more horses in the city and
my best friend is ever so slightly
less best
Never have I felt so alone,
wanted to be so alone so fiercely,
while wanting to live in the same, same world
as everybody else
No wonder I get tired of pointing
and spinning, of caked-on rust
and smelling roses on the wind
One day I will leap off the roof
and do more than spin
and spin, and spin
my best friend is ever so slightly
less best
Never have I felt so alone,
wanted to be so alone so fiercely,
while wanting to live in the same, same world
as everybody else
No wonder I get tired of pointing
and spinning, of caked-on rust
and smelling roses on the wind
One day I will leap off the roof
and do more than spin
and spin, and spin
