Parrot Sightings

[View of Manhattan from a Queens rooftop - Liam Kearney]

Usually the bird stayed on Sam’s shoulder, but perhaps the wind was too high, or the horizon too inviting. Sam chased after, worried that the parrot, unused to flying any distance, might rise for only an instant, then fall to the pavement below.
Instead it was Sam who did so.

This sounds like a gorgeous book that I have no intention of reading. Grisly serial killers? Sure. Deep, dark, endless emotional upheaval with no real resolution? No thank you... just can't do it.

Gorgeous pic, though.

hmm, serial killers...that'd be an interesting topic for Hoffman.
A boy who stays 9 years old forever--I can see how you'd avoid. Gorgeous though...loved and hated it while I was reading
