Safely Shielded, Confidently Evil

[Chair Silhouette - Lomokov]

"That night would have been soundless if it weren't for the morning discourse of the insects waking to witness what was to come. The vibrating buzz of crickets. The melodies of their hind-legs mixed discordantly with the antagonizing hum of the seasonal cicadas. I remember this. They were gross, like me. Misunderstood like me. They screeched down, notably, from the cedars and oaks above as if they needed help, or something. Maybe cheering me on, maybe placing bets."
-Robbie Gould, Necessary End
